NZS 3602:2003 / B2/AS1 — limitations. These are minimum treatment levels for Radiata Pine and Douglas Fir under B2/AS1 (NZBC Clause B2 Durability). Other species require specific assessment per NZS 3602 Tables 1 and 2. H1.2 boron treatment is the minimum for framing in most NZ conditions. H3.2 LOSP treatment is required for cantilevered deck joists. Fixings must match or exceed the exposure zone requirement — stainless steel in Zone D and for CuAz/AZQ treated timber. All results must be verified by a Licensed Building Practitioner.
